Day 29 - My friend Brigette

used to tell me to start taking Calcium tablets when I was 29. She was on the up and up when it came to health and every time Brigette spoke, I took notes. Well, I took the notes, but never followed through...so flash forward 10 years later, one bone density scan and a call from the doctor. And guess what? You guess it! I have a lower than normal reading and I better get with the program when it comes to taking care of my bone health or I'm going to end up with osteoporosis when I'm 50.

So, I got the lecture from my doctor over the phone and unfortunately, she remembered telling me the same thing last year. Uh-oh!

So...for yesterday's workout: Resistance training, weight training and Calcium tablets (samples from the doctor's office). I found some gummy ones at Target today. Is this like the best day ever or what? Gummy vitamins, just doesn't get better than that.

Until tomorrow, eat green veggies loaded with calcium, take your Calcium and Vitamin D supplements as prescribed by your doctor and engage in weight bearing/resistance training exercises. It's good for you, even though it might be boring.
