41 Days of RAK
I guess it's no secret, I'm turning 41 in a couple of a days. If you're just now catching this blog, I'm really 29, but if you've been reading it since last year, I'm really 41 ;-). For this year's birthday project, I thought it would be cool to participate in 41 days of RAK (random acts of kindness). I gotta be honest, I really need this project. Just a few days ago, I saw a teacher trying to juggle her keys, her Starbucks, her books and purse while opening her classroom door. I could have helped her by opening her door (once she got it unlocked) but did I....NO! I just watched the whole thing and what's worse..my kids watched with me. Never mind that I was sleep deprived and thinking about the AMVETS guys showing up at my house with nothing to pick up because I forgot to leave the donations outside of my front door before taking the kids to school....the fact is, if I would have been more aware, I would have thought to help. So, I shared the idea with my CACE (Cynthia, Anna and Emily) friends and they liked it. (If you're wondering what CACE is all about, check out Day 2 of my blog.) So, here goes. I start on Monday, my 29th birthday, and I'm really excited about this project. I gotta say thanks to my friend Melzo (her name was changed to protect her identity just incase you don't like reading my blog :-) for encouraging me to start blogging again. 41 RAKS! It's going to be tough, but I'm going to do it. If you catch me being nice to you and you don't like it, too bad. Wait a second, I just wrote something kind of mean, huh. Good thing I don't start until Monday :-)! Have a great day!
